DIY NIGHTSTANDS (UNDER $100)

We love a good weekend project and this one was easier than we thought it would be! I found these nightstands on our community Facebook page for $40! Let us know in the comments below what you think!

To start we wiped down the nightstand with a wet wash cloth and sanded it completely, we were super happy with how nice they looked. There were about 3 layers of paint but well worth the time spent sanding. Jackpot Tip: sand in the direction of the wood, to avoid an uneven surface!

We decided to stain the tops the same stain as our floors and paint the drawer and legs white. To save some $$ we used the stain and paint left over from our renovations!

We should have and will used a clear finish! We have a poly finish that I will use eventually! (I have linked a similar one below). The total cost is $98 including the finish purchase! $81 without! Worth it!

    Products we used:

    $25 BLACK+DECKER 5 in. Sander Disc

$7.97 Diablo 5 in. Refinishing Sanding Disc (7 Piece)

    $18 Wipe-on Poly Finish

$3.98 Double Beaded 3 in. Drawer Pull
